The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled UI QA & Automation Engineer to ensure the reliability, usability, and performance of the NDK management experience integrated within Nutanix Prism Central. You will work closely with engineering, PM, and UX teams to design end-to-end test strategies, build automation frameworks, validate UI workflows, and ensure a seamless user experience.
This role combines strong technical skills in UI automation with a deep understanding of modern web technologies and usability principles.

Your Role
Test Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases for new UI features and workflows.
- Ensure coverage across functional, regression, usability, performance, and security aspects.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify user-impacting issues beyond scripted automation.
Automation Development
- Build and maintain a scalable UI automation framework using Python with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Develop reliable automation to validate UI behavior, workflows, and visual correctness.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins) to provide continuous quality signals.
Quality Ownership
- Perform debugging, failure analysis, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Validate UI/UX designs against accessibility, consistency, and Nutanix design guidelines.
- Own quality sign-off for releases and patches with clear reporting on coverage and bug trends.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Represent quality in planning, design, and code reviews, ensuring features are testable and user-centric.
- Mentor junior QA engineers in test design, automation, and best practices.
What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in UI/Front-End testing and QA engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python for test automation.
- Hands-on experience building UI automation frameworks from scratch.
- Expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks (React/Angular).
- Experience with REST API testing, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tooling.
- Prior experience testing large-scale, distributed, or enterprise systems.
- Understanding of storage systems (block, file, object) and data protection concepts (backup, DR).

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
